Academic All-Conference

Glendora, CA -- Fresh off the Citrus College Athletics Department recognizing a program record 89 Scholar Ballers this past weekend (Scholar Ballers are student athletes that maintain a GPA of at least 3.0), it was announced on Tuesday morning, that 44 Citrus College Student-Athletes were named a Western State Conference Scholar Athlete. WSC Scholar Athletes are those athletes who post a GPA of at least 3.0 during their season of sport.

“These students-athletes are a great example of our philosophy in the Citrus College Athletics Department. The work ethic demonstrated in practice and games carries over to the classroom,” said Dean of Kinesiology and Athletics Jody Wise.
 
Of the 10 Fall Sports that participate in the Western State Conference, all 10 had at least two representatives on the Scholar Athlete team. The Citrus College Men’s Soccer team had the most of any sport, nine members being named a WSC Scholar Athlete. Of the 44 athletes, 27 had GPA’s of 3.5 or greater, and 9 had a perfect 4.0.
