Student Athletic Trainers

The Citrus College Training Room believes their Student Athletic Trainers are vital to the success of the training room. Students Trainers work on a volunteer basis, putting in time both in the training room and out on the playing surface during games. Student Trainers are required to put in time at both places. It is preferred that Student Trainers be CPR Certified and have First Aid experience, though it isn't a requirement. Student Trainers are also expected to maintain positive academic status throughout their tenure in the training room.

Student Trainers from Citrus College have gone on to pursue and finish their ATC requirements at California State University Fullerton, the University of La Verne, San Jose State University, San Diego State University, Azusa Pacific University, and much much more.

If you are interested in becoming a Citrus College Student Athlete Trainer, please contact Head Athletic Trainer Steve Handy at shandy@citruscollege.edu or 626-914-8657.

There is also a Basic Athletic Training class that is tentatively scheduled for the Winter Intercession. More information will be posted here when available.
