Eight Owls Earn All-Scholar Athlete Honors
Glendora, CA -- The Southern California Football Association recently announced their 2012 SCFA Scholar-Athlete team. Eight Citrus College Football players were bestowed with the honor.
Scholar-Athlete award honorees were those individuals who played two seasons with an SCFA member school. Athletes must have also completed at least 36 units of collegiate work, 27 of which must be in an academic course. Last but not least Scholar-Athletes had to post a GPA of at least 3.0.
Those Citrus players to earn the awards were Travis Doll, Donnie Fields, Andrew Hall, Christopher Laros, Luis Lopez-Valencia, Rodney Mathews, Phillip Sainz, and Simon Pruitt.
