Glendora, CA -- Citrus College wide receivers coach and director of football operations, Peter Lofthouse has been named the new Offensive Coordinator for the Citrus College Football program. Lofthouse fills the roll left vacant by former Offensive Coordinator Ben Noonan who recently accepted the Head Coaching position at Sierra College.

"Over the last four years, I have had the opportunity to learn a lot about the day to day operations of a football program and running a collegiate offensive," Lofthouse said. "I'm excited about the opportunity to helm an offense, and am looking forward to putting all of that knowledge to good use."

Lofthouse came to Citrus College in 2009 as the wide receivers coach. Over the past four seasons, Lofthouse has played an integral role in what has become a record setting offense. Under his tutelage, over seven wide receivers have found their way into the Citrus record books. In addition, the Owls are coming off one of their most successful seasons in recent memory, going 7-4 in 2012 with an appearance in a bowl game.

"We are excited to have Pete take over our offense," said Head Citrus College Football Coach Ron Ponciano. "He has shown a lot of growth over the last four years, and I know he will continue to steer our offense in a positive direction."

Prior to Citrus, Lofthouse served as the wide receivers coach at Texas Lutheran University. Before Texas Lutheran, Lofthouse spent two seasons as a graduate assistant at Baylor University in the Big 12. A decorated athlete, Lofthouse lettered in both baseball and football at El Toro High School. Lofthouse attended Arizona State University where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Lofthouse earned a master's degree in Education from Baylor University.
