Bio
Coach Eduardo Pacheco begins his ninth season with the Fighting Owls staff in 2015, and his sixth as the Citrus Defensive Coordinator. In his time as the Defensive Coordinator for the Fighting Owls, Pacheco has coached over 38 All-Conference Players and five All-State Players in the past 5 seasons.
In 2012, Pacheco helped play a key role in the Owls having their best year since 2006, and finishing the season ranked #9 in Southern California and #16 in the State. In 2013, Pacheco helped Citrus to an eight win season including a Bowl game victory for the first time in 25 years. Citrus would finish 2013 ranked #6 in Southern California and #8 in the State. In 2013 Pacheco’s Defense was ranked #2 in the State in sacks. During the past two seasons Citrus has led the Central Conference in Pass Defense (2013-2014).
Prior to Citrus, Pacheco spent one season as the Assistant Defensive Coordinator at Glen A. Wilson High Schools, where he helped lead the Wildcats to the second round of the playoffs. Pacheco began his coaching career at his alma mater Etiwanda High School serving as the J.V. Head Coach and Varsity Defensive Line Coach. Pacheco spent 3 seasons at Etiwanda
As a player, Pacheco prepped 3 varsity seasons for the Eagles, earning All-League honors and helping Etiwanda to a league championship in 1995. Pacheco was part of two Etiwanda playoff teams in 1995 and 1996. Pacheco also served as the Team Captain and was named the Lineman MVP in his Senior year.
Along with his duties on the Citrus College football staff, Pacheco has also served as the director of the Citrus College Youth Summer Camp run by the football program for boys and girls ages 6-12. The summer camp is becoming an institution in the community, as it serves as a great way for kids to stay active through participating in a number of different sports during the summer months. Pacheco resides in Monrovia with his wife Denise.
