Bio
Jackie Boxley retrurns to the dugout in 2020 as the Interim Head Coach of Owl Softball. In her time with the Owls, Boxley has brought Citrus Softball to the forefront of Southern California softball. In 2013, Boxley guided Citrus to their first ever post-season series win, when they knocked off three-time defending State Champion Cypress College in the Regional Round.
In 2005, Boxley guided Citrus to the second most wins in program history, and in 2007 the Lady Owls broke the previous record for wins in a season with 36. Not only did she guide the program to a record 36 wins, but she also led them to their first conference title in two decades. For her efforts Boxley was named the WSC and Southern California Coach of the Year. Boxley is also Citrus' all-time leader in wins and win percentage, and has taken the Owls to the Southern California playoffs six of the last seven seasons.
Before coming to Citrus, Boxley spent one season at Gahr High School as the head coach, leading her team to a 15-8 record. Her most successful previous coaching stint came at Cypress College where she spent six seasons, five as an assistant coach and one season as the interim head coach. When she first arrived in 1997, Cypress won their first of three consecutive state championships. Boxley topped that off in 2001, guiding the Chargers to a 28-14 record as the interim head coach. She was named the Orange Empire Conference Coach of the Year for her efforts.
Boxley spent her playing career at Cypress and was the MVP of the State Championship winning team in 1991. She was also a two-time All-Orange Empire Conference Second-Team selection. Boxley went on to graduate from Cal State Fullerton with a BS in child development. She went on to earn an MA in education from Azusa Pacific in 2000.
