Bio
Head Coach Terry Paredez begins his first season in charge of the Owls during the 2017-2018 academic year. It's his 13th season overall with the program after spending the previous 12 years as the top assistant for longtime Head Coach Jackie Boxley.
Alongside Boxley, Coach Paredez has helped turn the Owls into one of the top teams in Southern California, as Citrus has made ten post-season appearances in it's last twelve seasons, and have won three conference titles.
More importantly countless Owls have gone on to earn scholarship offers after Citrus College, including most recently All-American Jade Nua, who will suit up for NCAA DI Fresno State in 2018.
Prior to joining the Citrus staff, Coach Paredez spent four seasons as an assistant Varsity coach at Bonita High School in La Verne handling the outfielders and hitting instruction. During his time there, Bonita won two league titles in both the Miramonte and Valle Vista Leagues.
Paredez, a graduate of Azusa High School, has also spent several years as a travel-ball coach, coaching with the California Diamondbacks, the Case Batbusters, and is currently serving as the Head Coach with the Cal A's.
Coach Paredez has been married to his lovely wife Tina for 28 years and has three children. His oldest child, is former Lady Owls catcher Ashlie Paredez. Coach Paredez currently resides in La Verne, CA.
