Glendora, CA -- After being snubbed in the pre-season polls, the Citrus College Women's Basketball team is back in the State and Southern California Coaches Polls. The Owls debuted at #16 in the State Poll and #9 in the Southern California Poll.

It's been approximately 11 months since the Owls were in the Coaches Polls. Citrus didn't make it into the polls until January 2nd last season, and only stayed their one week debuting at #12 in the South. Prior to that, Citrus hadn't been in the SoCal Poll since 2009. It's their first appearance in the State poll in at least four years.

The Owls are off to a strong start thus far in their 2012-2013 campaign. Citrus is 5-1 with their lone loss coming at the hands of State #13 Chaffey College just this past weekend. The Owls also own wins over State #14 Cypress and SoCal #11 Irvine Valley College.

Citrus will be back out on the floor this weekend when they take part in the Moorpark Tournament. The Owls kick off the tournament by taking on Northern California's Gavilan College on Friday evening at 5:00 PM.
