Bio

Coach Kelly Rios begins her fifth season with the Fighting Owls coaching staff. Rios joined the staff after concluding a very successful playing career. Rios will and has all ready played a pivotal role in returning Citrus to volleyball prominence. Coach Rios will bring her expertise in hitting to the Lady Owls.

An alumnus of Citrus College, Coach Rios [Fink] played for the Lady Owls during the 2006 and 2007 seasons. Rios was named WSC Player of the Year both seasons and earned All-State honors as a freshman. Arguably the most dominant players in school and conference history, Rios holds the top two spots in Western State Conference record book for kills in a season. Rios is also Top 5 all-time in blocks for the conference and top 20 all-time in kill percentage for the conference.

After completing her career at Citrus, Rios earned a scholarship at NCAA Division I UC Riverside. As a senior Rios led the Highlanders with a 3.37 kills per game average and also led the team in kill percentage.

Over the past two years, Rios has served as the 14-under coach for the Top Gun Volleyball Club. Rios resides in San Dimas with her son Johnny.
