Citrus Women's Soccer made short work of visiting Mt. SAC on Tuesday, beating the Mounties handily 3-1 in a non-conference matchup.

The Owls came out hungry right off the bat, but patiently tested and prodded the Mt. SAC defense for openings. The patience paid off, as Citrus knocked in a pair of goals in the first half by Zeanna Silva and Ruth MacDonaugh,  going into halftime with a 2-0 lead.

Citrus gave up a goal early in the 2nd half on a miscue by the Citrus back line, but recovered quickly with MacDonaugh knocking in her 2nd goal of the game and her 5th of the season on an assist by Isabela Deleon

Citrus moves to 6-1-2 on the year and will move on to an away game at Oxnard this Friday at 4:00 PM.
