Men's Basketball Returns to State 3C2A State Championship Quarterfinals

After defeating Cypress College 98-84 in last Saturday's 3C2A SoCal Regional Final, the Citrus College Men's Basketball team will face Las Positas College who ranked No. 5 in the State to open the 3C2A Regional playoffs. 

Citrus College has earned the No. 2 seed in the South region of the State Championship bracket, while Las Positas represents the North region as the No. 3 seed. Both teams will meet this Thursday, March 13th at Mt. San Antonio College at 3 p.m. 

Las Positas comes into Thursday's matchup with a 26-4 overall record, having won seven of their last ten games, including wins over Columbia College and Modesto College in the 3C2A NorCal Regional Playoffs to advance to State. 

The Owls, with an overall record of 28-2 on the season, will be making their fourth 3C2A State Championship appearance in their last six seasons. 

Citrus ranks #1 in scoring in the State, averaging 102.5 points per game, while Las Positas ranks #6 in the State with 86.3 points per game. 

Defensively the Owls and Hawks both rank top five in the State in forced turnovers per game and steals per game making for a competitive defensive battle.
