Bio
Head Coach Chris Victor begins his fifth season at the helm of the Fighting Owls Men’s Basketball team. Last year, Victor guided the Owls to a WSC South Championships and an appearance in the CCCAA Final Four. During his first season in charge, Victor led Citrus College to an appearance in the State Championship game during the 2010-2011 season, and moved on seven sophomores and a freshman to four-year universities, the highest number in the State.
Victor spent the previous four seasons as a top assistant at Concordia University in Irvine. In that span Concordia went 119-22, won three out of four Golden State Athletic Conference Championships, and made four straight appearances in the NAIA National Tournament, even appearing in the National Title Game in 2006-07.
Victor’s coaching career began here at Citrus. After completing a successful playing career at Concordia, Victor joined former head coach Rick Croy’s first staff at Citrus. Victor spent one season on the bench for the Fighting Owls helping guide them to a 17 win season, their second highest win total in over a decade.
Prior to his coaching career, Victor was a decorated player at Concordia. Victor played a key role in the Eagle’s teams that went to back to back NAIA Title Games in 2003 and 2004. In the 2003 title game, Victor scored a season high 26 points and dished out 9 assists as he helped lead Concordia to its first National Championship in program history. Victor is ranked in the Top 10 All-Time Scoring list in points and 3-pointers, and is third All-Time in assists and steals for Concordia.
