Men's Golf Begins Season in Lompoc
Citrus College Men's Golf started their season this week with the two-day 14th Annual Pt. Conception Invitational. The Owls finished 9th overall as a team after scoring 445 on Sunday and improving to score 429 on Monday to give them a combined score of 874.
Andrew Gahshan led the Owls with a 158 (79/79), good for 10th overall individually. Carter Gauthier stayed consistent from Sunday to Monday, carding an 85 each day to give him a 170. Javier Alvarado was right behind with a score of 174 (94/80), making the biggest improvement from round one to two in his collegiate debut.
Alex Morales scored 182 (94/88), Cameron Vallaro scored a 191 (93/98) in his collegiate debut, while Matthew Carbajal carded a 193 (96/97).
Citrus College Men's Golf will begin Western State Conference action next Monday, February 3rd at the Oakmont Country Club.
