Owls Golf Finishes 5th at WSC No. 9

The Citrus College Men's Golf Team competed in the WSC No. 9 tournament yesterday, Monday, April 21, at Soule Park Golf Course, hosted by College of the Canyons. The Owls finished 5th overall with a team score of 399. 

Leading the way for Citrus was freshman Javier Alvarado, who posted a team-best 75. Carter Gauthier continued his strong form following last week's standout performance at San Dimas Canyon, carding a solid 76. 

Andrew Gahshan added an 81, while Alex Morales shot an 83, narrowly edging out Fabian Montellano, who finished with an 84. Braden Distelrath rounded out the lineup with an 85, serving as the team's drop score. 

Next up, the Owls head back to Crystalaire Country Club—the site of WSC No. 6 back in March—for the Western State Conference Championships on Monday, April 28. Each golfer will compete in 36 holes (two rounds) to close out the conference season.
