Citrus Men's Golf Wraps Up Conference Play at WSC South Championships 

The Citrus College Men's Golf team concluded Western State Conference South play on Monday, April 28, at Crystalaire Country Club in Llano, CA. The Owls finished 5th overall with a two-round team score of 804, carding a 404 in the opening round and improving with a 400 in round two. 

In round one, Andrew Gahshan led the way with a strong 74. Cameron Vollaro followed with an 80, and Javier Alvarado added an 81. Carter Gauthier posted an 83, and Braden Distelrath shot 86. Alex Morales rounded out the first round as the drop score with an 87. 

The team showed improvement in round two, highlighted by Alex Morales, who bounced back with a team-best 78. Andrew Gahshan continued his steady play with a 79, followed closely by Javier Alvarado (80), Cameron Vollaro (81), and Carter Gauthier (82). Distelrath matched his first-round score of 86, serving as the drop score for the second round. 

Next up, Andrew Gahshan, Alex Morales, and Javier Alvarado will represent Citrus College at the 3C2A Southern California Regionals on Monday, May 5, at Los Serranos Country Club's South Course in Chino Hills, hosted by Cypress College.
