Men's Soccer capped off a back and forth game vs WSC conference rival Bakersfield College on Tuesday with a final minute score that tied the game 1-1. Enrique Garnica broke free of the Bakersfield defenders after a nice ball by Edgar Guadalupe-Garcia and netted the shot, sending the home crowd into an uproar and shocking the Bakersfield squad who had enjoyed a 1-0 lead throughout most of the match. The goal was Garnica's 2nd of the year and Guadalupe-Garcia's 3rd assist of the 2018 season.
The last home game of the season marked the celebration of the outgoing sophomore class. The sophomores were honroed with a hlaftime cermony that focused on the contributions of each player during their careers at Citrus.
Citrus moves to 3-8-6 on the season, with a 3-3-3 conference mark. The Owls take the pitch again on Friday at Glendale for the last regular season game of 2018. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:00 PM.
