Owls Fall to Antelope Valley in Conference Matchup

Citrus College Men's Soccer fell 4–0 at home to conference opponent Antelope Valley College on Friday, October 24, at Citrus Stadium.

With the loss, Citrus moves to 1–14–1 overall and 1–4 in conference play, while Antelope Valley improves to 5–8–2 overall and 2–2 in conference.

The Owls battled through a competitive first half, keeping the match close until the closing minutes. The Marauders broke through in the 40th minute and added another in the 43rd to take a 2–0 lead into halftime.

Citrus generated more offensive opportunities in the second half, recording six shots after managing just one in the first 45 minutes, but couldn't convert. Antelope Valley added two more goals in the 60th and 65th minutes to secure the win.

The Owls will look to bounce back when they host Bakersfield College on Tuesday, October 28, at 3:30 p.m. The matchup will be a rematch of their earlier conference meeting on October 10, when Bakersfield earned a 3-1 win.
