Bio

Galvan graduated from the University of Michigan, where he earned bachelor's degrees in English and Anthropology in 2005, he later completed a Master of Science in Physical Education from Azusa Pacific University in 2010. He has more than two decades of coaching experience at the high school and collegiate levels. Galvan served as an assistant men's soccer coach at Rio Hondo College during the 2016 and 2017 seasons before joining the Citrus College men's soccer coaching staff as an assistant coach in 2021 and 2022.

At the high school level, he has spent 21 years leading the Ganesha High School boys soccer program as Program Director and Head Varsity Coach, building one of the area's premier programs. His accomplishments include guiding the Giants to the 2020 CIF Southern Section championship match, capturing the 2020 CIF State Championship, winning six league championships, and earning San Gabriel Valley Coach of the Year honors in 2020. Earlier in his coaching career, he served as an assistant girls varsity soccer coach at El Rancho High School, where he helped end the program's 16-year CIF playoff drought and guided the team to a Western Christian Winter Girls Varsity Soccer Tournament championship.

A four-year soccer player at Damien High School, he helped lead the Spartans to the 1999 CIF Southern Section Finals while contributing to a team that finished the season ranked No. 3 nationally. Outside of coaching, he is a physical education teacher at Ganesha High School and enjoys hiking, running, gardening, and anything related to soccer. He and his wife, Crystal, have three children: daughter Pearl and sons Maverick and Troy.
