Citrus College battled but came up short against the College of the Canyons Wednesday night.
The Owls slip to 9-8 overall and 0-3 in the Western State Conference, while the Cougars – who rank No. 6 in the South Region – improve to 14-4 on the year and 3-1 in conference.
Katherine Goostrey led the Owls with 27 points, while Giselle Garcia-Nunez posted a double-double with 19 points and 16 rebounds.
Citrus looks to bounce back on the road as it heads to Antelope Valley College on Saturday for a 7:00 p.m. tip off.
