Citrus Competes at SoCal Preview
Citrus College Cross Country competed in last Friday's SoCal Cross Country Preview Meet at Chaffey College.
Estelle Ebiner led the Owls in the Women's 5k by placing individually at 125th overall with a time of 27:35.3 with an average mile time of 8:52.7. Emmalie Garcia placed 168th overall with a time of 47:37.2.
The Men's team placed 19th overall in the 4 Mile with a score of 488 and a total time of 2:02:19 with an average time of 24:27.
The Owls were led by Rohan Weerasekera placed 68th overall, individually in the Men's 4 Mile with a time of 23:20.0 and an average mile time of 5:29.6. Jonathan Evangelista placed 85th overall with a time of 23:45.4 and an average mile time of 5:32.0. Noah Rodriguez placed 106th overall with a time of 24:25.4 which gave him an average mile time of 5:43.8.
Eduardo Frausto placed 121st overall with a time of 25:06.1, Carlos Gonzalez placed 136th overall with a time of 25:42.9, David Evangelista placed 138th overall with a time of 25:53.1, Eduardo Castillo placed 180th overall with a time of 28:18.6 while Alexis Aguilar placed 183rd overall with a time of 28:27.1.
In the Men's Overflow 4 Mile, Jacob Flores led Citrus College by placing 56th overall with a time of 26:32.5 and an average mile time of 6:38.2. Aaron Zamarron placed 96th overall in the Men's Overflow 4 Mile with a time of 33:12.2, an average mile time of 8:18.1 and Silas Salgado placed 102nd overall with a time of 35:09.3 with an average mile time of 8:47.4.
Citrus College will compete again next week at the Manny Baustista Invitational hosted by SD Mesa College at NTC Park in San Diego, CA.
