Owls Improve in San Diego
Citrus College Cross Country traveled down to San Diego Mesa to compete at the Manny Baustista Invitational, hosted by San Diego mesa College.
In the Women's 5k Individual standings, Estelle Ebiner led the Owls by placing 122nd overall with a time of 26:35.7 with an average mile time of 8:33.5. Serenia Rodriguez placed 130th overall with a time of 28:01.5 and an average time of 9:01.2. Emmalie Garcia placed 148th overall individually with a time of 37:52.0 and an average mile time of 12:11.2.
The Men's team placed 16th overall in the 4 Mile Run Team Results with a score of 444, a total time of 1:57:43 and an average time of 23:32. Rohan Weerasekera led the Owls individually by placing 96th overall with a time of 22:55.5 and an average mile time of 5:43.9. Noah Rodriguez placed 100th overall with a time of 23:04.1 and an average mile time of 5:46.1, David Evangelista placed 107th overall with a time of 23:19.0 with an average mile time of 5:49.8.
Eduardo Frausto and Carlos Gonzalez both placed in the top 140 with times of 24:04.2 and 24:20.4, respectively.
Cross Country hopes to compete at the Southern California Regional Championships next at Chaffey College next month, November 8th.
