Owls Take Down State #1 Mt. SAC
Walnut, CA — There's arguably no better way to end the year than the way the Citrus College Men's Basketball program did on Wednesday evening. The Owls handed the State's #1 team, Mt. San Antonio College, their first loss of the season. Ending their non-conference schedule on a high note with a 62-57 victory.
Citrus didn't waste any time with a slow start, almost immediately taking the lead. The Owls would go on to take a nine point lead at the half, 34-25. In the second half, Citrus never gave back the lead, but the Mounties didn't make it easy. Mt. SAC would get it to within four midway through the second half, but the Owls rallied and won going away.
