Citrus College Men's Basketball stayed perfect on the season with a commanding 102–68 win over MiraCosta on Tuesday night, November 18, improving to 5–0 while the Spartans fall to 0–5.

The opening half was competitive, with both teams trading baskets early. The Owls shot 19-of-40 from the field but connected on just 2-of-7 from three. Citrus' defense, however, set the tone—forcing 16 first-half turnovers to take a 45–38 lead into the break.

The second half told a completely different story. Citrus hit the accelerator offensively and cranked up their full-court pressure, pushing the Spartans into a pace they simply couldn't handle. The Owls forced 12 more turnovers after halftime while committing only four themselves. They shot a blistering 18-of-32 from the field (56.3%), hit 6-of-12 from beyond the arc, and knocked down 15-of-18 free throws (83.3%).

Defense was the key all night. The Owls were elite—forcing 29 turnovers, scoring 35 points off those turnovers, and outscoring MiraCosta 12–2 on the fast break. Citrus also won the battle on the boards (38–31), dominated the paint (54–28), and saw its bench pour in an impressive 38 points compared to the Spartans' 12. The Owls' largest lead of the night—35 points—came late in the second half.

Sophomore guard Amiri Meadows delivered a dynamic all-around performance, using his speed and pace to break down the defense. Meadows finished with a game-high 26 points, six steals, six assists, and five rebounds.

Rockwell Reynolds was a force inside, scoring 20 points on 6-of-9 shooting while going 8-of-9 from the line. One of the highlights of the night came from Reynolds, who grabbed a rebound and took it coast-to-coast for a layup—an impressive play from the tallest player on the floor. He added six rebounds, two blocks, an assist, and a steal.

Dylan Victorio contributed 12 points, four rebounds, and a steal, while JJ Sanchez showcased his vision with a game-high eight assists to go along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Off the bench, Dev Hamilton made an immediate impact with strong finishes at the rim, scoring 15 points with three rebounds, three steals, and an assist. Brady Orr brought energy that helped spark multiple scoring runs, adding 10 points, three assists, three steals, and two offensive rebounds that extended key possessions. Alek Sanchez also provided a lift with two big second-half threes, finishing with eight points, three assists, two rebounds, and two impressive transition blocks.

Citrus will now face its toughest test of the season as the Owls travel to take on preseason No. 2 in the state Fullerton College (4–0) on Friday, November 21 at 6 p.m.
