Citrus College Volleyball picked up its third consecutive win last Friday, October 24, defeating Antelope Valley College on the road in straight sets, 3-0 (25-19, 25-22, 25-21).

With the victory, the Owls improve to 13-9 overall and 5-3 in Western State Conference-South play, while the Marauders fall to 12-5 overall and 3-4 in conference.

Although each set was tightly contested, Citrus controlled the match from start to finish—closing out each frame to complete the sweep. The win marked the Owls' second over Antelope Valley this season, following a 3-1 home victory earlier in October.

Aaliyah Janae Freeman led the way for the Owls, posting 11 kills on 22 attempts while adding a block assist and a dig. Freshman outside hitter Sophia Martinez recorded 10 kills and 17 digs, along with two assists. Naomi Dominguez added seven kills, two solo blocks, a block assist, an assist, and two digs. Setter Lily Whitney paced the offense with a game-high 22 assists and seven digs, while Justin Gonzalez chipped in 11 assists, two digs, and a kill.

Citrus will be back on the road this Wednesday, October 29, for a conference rematch against state No. 9-ranked Santa Monica College. The Owls will look to avenge their straight-set home loss to the Corsairs earlier this month. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m.
